“You are loved. You have value. You have purpose”
Patrick has overcome a life of adversity. At the age of 6 he was molested by a next-door neighbor. He was raised in a dysfunctional home riddled with abuse. His father said, “you are the biggest mistake I ever made and if I was to do it all over again, I would not have had you.” This seed of rejection would be fertilized by other events in his life. After marrying his first wife, he was diagnosed with infertility. He pursued building his family through adoption. He had custody of a baby boy for 2 days until the birth mom, changed her mind. This launched him into a period of depression. Patrick, and his first wife, later adopted their first child, but wanted to expand their family. They pursued foster care and fought the legal system to adopt two more children.
Patrick continued his journey with a divorce, homelessness, and was sexually abused for the second time, spiraling him into an identity crises and struggling with his sexuality. Through strong Christian therapist, Patrick was able to heal from the wounds of his past.
Today, Patrick is a therapist and life coach working with individuals to improve their quality of life. He is the host of the TV show and podcast “Tackling Life” and can be found on social media under “Papa Patrick.” He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and five children.
